I stopped the video at tip #1, as most baby experts recommend not introducing bottles for the first few weeks if you can help it. It's important to get breastfeeding established first.

I’ve tried pumping a few times and I hate it :(. It’s so hard to hold the bottles in place, barely anything comes out and my hormones/mood feels so low during the process. I have a 10 day old and have tried it twice, I’m not sure I’ll do it again. Using formula sometimes seems easier and less hard mentally.

Paediatric nurse from Germany here 🙋🏼‍♀️
In terms of „nipple confusion“ i can gladly tell you that it’s just a myth 🤗
If it were true all pre-Borns would be bottle feeding, later on when they’re old enough which isn’t the case. Some children just prefer the bottle it’s as simple as that 😂😅
And also sucking (f.e. With a pacifier/their own hand) soothes Babies and also reduces feeling pain which ist why we use it for injections or blood tests 🤗
So don’t stress yourself about this myth ☺️

Ok… You gave some great tips… probably for a six week old baby. That baby nurses like a champ, and that's wonderful, but I would say that most babies aren't like that and it takes a lot more effort to get a newborn to latch properly. I just think that had I seen this video as a struggling first time Mom – I would burst into tears. This period of time is HARD. Your body is healing, your baby doesn't know what to do, you don't know what to do… You don't feel all perky and just breast feed to the camera. I mean obviously some women do, but it's really not typical. So I hope other mamas also watch other newborn videos to get a sense that they are not alone and this time which is glorious and hard – does pass.

This video is such a lifesaver! That first week feels like a beautiful blur of emotions, exhaustion, and second-guessing everything. I wish I had seen this sooner, but even now it’s so reassuring to know the ups and downs are totally normal. Thank you for being so honest and helpful—it really makes new parents feel less alone in the chaos

I'm always happy when women feel confident enough to nurse in public. It's the most natural thing in the world, so it's gross to me how it gets sexualised.
The way I see it, if it's a place where other people are allowed to eat and drink, so is your baby.

Is it weird that I am 33 weeks pregnant with our first child but not freaked out at all, what so ever? I have been taking in as much info as possible from my OB, family and friend advice, online classes, YouTube videos, Pinterest tips, etc. but for some reason taking care of a baby just seems so natural. I have no worries or concerns. I am trusting that I know what to do and I accept making mistakes.
For anyone who is worried, don't worry!!! We are made for this! This is something we have been doing since the dawn of time! ❤️🌷✨

Best advice to give the baby a bottle when breastfeeding. I would advise having a nurse feed the baby at the hospital at night so they get use to bottle feeding and someone else. Also mom can get some sleep. 💤

F unsolicited advice. Everyone wants to tell you what will and won't work instead of considering the fact that you and your baby aren't them. Go mama for figuring out what worked for you during your first pregnancy instead of continuing with opinionated people's advice what you're supposedly supposed to be doing. 👏👏👏
