I'm always worried about it going down their throat and causing them to choke. Do they reflexively close off their noses?

I need this for my toddler, but I don’t trust myself to do it. I hope it doesn’t have any risks.

My whole family has terrible allergies so my kids/babies get stuffy noses all the time. I want to try the saline thing but how does the water not go back down or something? Kind of like when you accidentally breathe in water? I've gotten water up my nose while swimming and it's so uncomfortable so I don't understand how this wouldn't happen!

Better to get a suction bulb. Safer too because if you don't use seilne water or you do it wrong it can cause infections

Genuine question. Is it safer / better than sea salt spray + snot sucker? I used nasal rinse myself and I felt like horrible like I was drowning and it also came down mu throat, I would be scared that my kid would breath in the saline solution.
